Blue Ridge Quartet
The Blue Ridge Quartet was originally formed as part of the Stamps organization. George Younce sang with this group from the mid-1950s through 1964, when he left to join the Cathedral Quartet. Burl Strevel, who had preceded him in the bass position, came back to fill the vacancy. The group disbanded in the late 1970s after Strevel died of a heart attack.
